Day 10 - granja de moreuala to Tabara

Bad mileage in the guidebook misled us. It ended up being a 30 kilometer hike.

After we crossed a big river we went rock hiking wether we liked it or not. I will admit it was beautiful but very hard on the knees.

We did find a farmer who appreciates beauty

And the shire where the hobbits live

We stayed at the Alberque in Tabara and what a treat it was. The lady of the house did our laundry and cooked us dinner. We were treated to a local who plays magnificent guitar. We listened to stories in a language I did not understand but enjoyed anyway.

There were only three pilgrims there, Austin and I and a spaniard who is biking the camino,  but we were welcomed into the home of a man who has written 8 books on the camino and truly believes that it is a special thing we have left in this world. He gave Austin and I gifts and spoke eloquently that as long as there is a single pilgrim the camino will survive.

It was frustrating with the heat and length of the walk and I wanted to call home but the wifi was out but somehow this man made us feel at home.
