Day 6 - Zammarala to Santa Maria la Real de Navia

33 kilometers. Very long. Attempted to stop in Ane after 21 kilometers but the alberque was locked and no way to find a key.
Most of our walk looked like this, wheat fields forever

Occasionally a few hundred acres of tomatoes

And a huge pine forest for turpentine

And a rock farm. This guy produced lots of rocks

Austin is starting to open up and talk which feels so good. He says he is enjoying the Camino except for the days over 21 kilometers and the closed alberques.

So change in plans, I am going to calculate a reverse route that keeps the days below 22 kilometers and that should put us in the areas where there are more pilgrims and less closed alberques.

We will take a bus tomorrow to wherever the calculation says we will need to start.

Ian so grateful to God and Austin for making this what I truly sought. A chance to truly talk with Austin while engaging in a chance for me to concentrate on finding peace without the pressures of time and the classroom.

I will update later with where we will be next.
